Tomcat Beds have been designed by the parent of a child with Angelman Syndrome. Anyone with knowledge of this syndrome would be aware that the children are very poor sleepers and this raises many issues of safety, security and comfort. For most parents and carers of children with special needs, sleep is quite often the single most difficult issue to deal with.
The Tomcat Beds are built with this experience in mind and are not only safe, secure and comfortable but have the good looks and style associated with all Tomcat products. What could offer parents and carers more peace of mind than the knowledge that their child is safe and comfortable in their own bedroom!
Two products are currently available. Firstly, the Tomcat Safeguard Bed is made from Alaska Pine and has the appearance of a large decorative cot. It can incorporate a standard 3’ x 6’ mattress but a pressure relieving memory mattress is provided with the Tomcat Safeguard Bed. Size variants are available on request.
Secondly, there is the Tomcat Travel Bed which has all the functionality of the Safeguard Bed but is portable. It can be dismantled and built in minutes and without tools! Because a standard (3’ x 6’) mattress fits Tomcat Travel Bed there is no need to take the mattress if you know one is provided at your destination. An ideal companion for visits to relatives, holidays, respite stays etc. As we constantly strive to improve our products, The Tomcat Travel Bed is currently undergoing a redesign and will be available again in the summer of 2007. |
