The Tomcat Trike

"Just a quick note thanking you all for the Wonderful, Wonderful Tomcat bike!! We absolutely love it and "our Gemma" has never stopped smiling when she is on it!!   It is so lovely to see her "being part of the gang" at nursery with her little friends.

"You all do a great job and it is nice to have a product that is so portable and fits into everyday life without looking

'specialised' or highlighting the fact that our child has a disability. All our family say you should extend your product range to design other equipment for disabled children, i.e. seating, standing frames, play equipment etc.

"I just had to write to tell you what a special experience we had on our sons first outing riding his new Tomcat bike.The following day after collecting the bike we went to our local park in Leeds. With a little apprehension of the unknown we unloaded the two piece bike and with ease joined the bike together and we then put our son Freddie aged 7 onto the bike. Ten minutes steering Freddie around the side of the park lake our confidence and proudness grew for Freddie with his secure harness and supports gave him enjoyment and happiness which we could see in his face which we had not seen in a long time.

"A gentleman then stop us who was walking by and admired his beautiful blue bike saying how fantastic it was and how he could do with a bike like that especially with his aches and pains! The gentleman was Sir Jimmy Saville.

"So once again thank you to you and your staff for making Freddies bike.

"We are enclosing some photographs that we took at the weekend of Laura on her Tomcat Trike.

"Laura's first trip out on her new bike was great, she went with her Brother, Sister, friend and Mum and Dad. We were expecting Laura to take some time to master her new bike and were amazed when she got straight on it and cycled along as if she had been doing it for months, only stopping to screech, laugh and wave her arms about which stopped her concentrating on turning the pedals. She had a thoroughly good time, which will be evident when you see the photographs.

"The bike will be so beneficial to Laura, she finds being outside on her feet very scary and therefore refuses to walk, so usually, she is only outside in her wheelchair, the bike gave her the independence, with our help, to move freely outside with confidence. As she was high up she also had a better view and stopped to look at trees and could even reach up and touch some of the leaves.

"We would once again like to thank you for your expertise and wonderfully made bike from ourselves and on our daughter's behalf.

"Please find enclosed some photographs of Rhodri cycling on the Millennium Coastal Path Llanelli. As you can see he is thoroughly enjoying himself riding with his cousins, something he could not do prior to obtaining the Tomcat Trike. We all have had and will continue to have many hours of exercise, fresh air and much pleasure and enjoyment. I have written to Ruth Lingard at Fledglings enclosing a photograph, and recommending the trike to parents of any child where there may be concerns about their ability to cycle independently.

Dear Bob

Thank you for a great day last week when we brought Andie to pick up her Tomcat Tiger. I'm sure you could tell by her expression that she thought she was the bees knees!  It definitely has her seal of approval.  Having your undivided attention made the occasion all the more special, and gave us the opportunity to ask questions and have a really good test run on what is almost a custom built product.

From a professional point of view I have to say how impressed I am with the standard of workmanship.  Its obvious that all the components of the trike are of an extremely high specification and meticulous attention to detail and engineering expertise was clearly in evidence in its design and assembly.  I found the tour of the workshop fascinating, particularly the range of products you have adapted to meet individual needs and circumstances.

Since having the trike Andie has been fully included in our outdoor curriculum, which has had great benefits for her all round development. 

All our dealings with you on the telephone, by email and face to face have been friendly, courteous, efficient and professional and a pleasure from start to finish.  I shall be recommending your business and products to my colleagues in education at every opportunity.
