Finding the right Tomcat Trike for you

To assist us with your requirement we generally need to know the following information about the trike rider:

• Name:
• Age:
• Condition/Diagnosis:
• General Mobility and Body Strength:  ie leg/upper body strength, muscle tone, balance etc.
• Learning Difficulty:   eg  SLD
• Height:  wearing shoes (see below)
• Inside-Leg Measurement:   again wearing shoes (see below)
• Thorax Measurement:    ie width across chest just below ribcage
• Foot Size:   ie length of shoe
• Significant Date for Delivery:    eg Birthday
• Colour of Trike:   This can be decided at time of order

This information will help us to specify the correct design and also the accessories required.  We generally request the more detailed measurements (eg height and inside-leg) nearer the build time but it helps us to know approximately when preparing your quotation.

How to measure

>Height >Inside Leg   Height can eithe be measured agains a wall or lying flat on the ground. Use a book or similar on the top of the head and measure down to sole of foot (in Centimetres)   To measure the inside leg we advise using the following method -  it sounds bizarre but it works very accurately!  Either standing or lying flat (without a pad if worn) and with shoes on, keep the legs as straight as possible.  Place a book with the spine as high up as possible and measure in Centimetres from the spine to the sole of the shoe - it sounds odd but it works! >Thorax   >Foot Size   Measure either standing up or lying flat. Take two books and place either side of chest level with bottom of rib cage and measure across (in Centimetres)   Measure length of shoe from heel to tip of toe (in Centimetres), not shoe size (eg size 5)
